Went to my sister's convocation in the morning and the guest of honour taught mi something that can benefit mi for life. 3 things to take note in pursuiting your future.
Number 1, be patient. Dun think of short term gain. Think ahead. Think long term. Hundreds of dollars of pay difference may seems quite a lot to you now. But think 20years later when pay difference is ten of thousands of dollars. Work hard, be patient, and your time will come.
Number 2, keep learning. When you started working, after some time, you will find that what you learn during your whole stay in the campus(be it poly or uni), will become obsolete. So one must keep on learning. And every new kind of jobs is a new chance to learn, and a new challenge to face. Continue learning throughout and you will always stay ahead.
Number 3, give something back. 2 proverbs, 1 english 1 chinese. The speaker say the chinese "when you drink the water, you remember the source" and here i added a "you reap what you sow". Think of your teachers who have taught you so much. Think of your parents who have brought you up. Think of your friends who have being supporting you. Give something back to them. When you give something, you will get something extra back.
